OTTAWA, Ontario (LifeSiteNews) — Canada’s federal police force is slated to spend over $15 million in taxpayer funds to analyze “race-based data to address systemic racism” within the profession.

According to a May 5 Question on the Order Paper filed in the House of Commons by Conservative Member of Parliament (MP) John Brassard, taxpayers will fund a $15,200,000 project to examine racism within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

“This project will collect, analyze and communicate race-based data to address systemic racism and discrimination and to improve the cultural awareness of employees and the ability to provide culturally competent policing,” the note obtained by True North reads.

The effort is expected to continue until March 31, 2027.

“Race-based data collection is a priority modernization initiative for the RCMP. The collection of this information is imperative to understanding the experiences of Indigenous, Black and racialized individuals and communities during their interactions with RCMP,” Cpl. Kim Chamberland told True North.

“The information is not used to single out individual members based on their interactions, but to identify and address systemic issues that may exist between the RCMP and the communities we serve.”

Chamberland explained that the funds would be used to provide community consultation, training and policy development on a national level.

“It involves investments in people, technology, and tools to make sure we get it right, learn and improve, and involve communities, members, stakeholders, and partners along the way,” she added.

LifeSiteNews reached out to the RCMP for details regarding the initiative but failed to hear back by time of publication.

Brassard, MP for Barrie, Ontario, has often condemned the Trudeau government for their spending of taxpayer dollars, as the prime minister continues to place political correctness over the well-being of Canadians.

The opinion that the RCMP are “systemically racist” is hardly new. In recent years, the RCMP has continually pledged to work to end “all forms of racism and discrimination, in its workplace and in the delivery of policing services to the public.”

Similarly, the Trudeau government pledging millions of taxpayer dollars to promote the current political agenda is not novel to Canadians either.

Canadians are left feeling abandoned by Trudeau as they face increased interest rates and high food prices while Trudeau floods LGBT organizations with tax-payer dollars.

The push for “anti-racism” training for the RCMP comes just weeks after 60-year-old Richard Bilkszto, a beloved school principal in the Toronto District School Board (TDSB), committed suicide after he was allegedly bullied for defending his country at a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) training session.

During the session, Bilkszto had reportedly maintained that Canada is a less racist country than the United States. He was then allegedly rebuked and defamed as a “white supremacists” for his comments by the session leader, peers, and school officials. Ontario Education Minister Stephan Lecce has since ordered an inquiry into the incident.
