(LifeSiteNews) — NBC earned social media mockery this week after defending the “we’re here, we’re queer, we’re coming for your children” chant heard at a New York City drag march over the weekend. The article simultaneously argued the chant was only spoken by one person while also claiming it’s a common phrase heard at other “drag marches” for “years.”

In the short video (warning: partial nudity) during a New York “pride” celebration that went viral on social media, at least one person can be heard chanting, “we’re coming for your children” as other participants chant, “we’re not going shopping.”

In its Tuesday article, NBC contended that the “we’re coming for your children” chant had been “taken out of context” by “conservative pundits, activists and lawmakers” who said the provocative remarks validated worries that radical LGBT activists are “grooming” children.

NBC said that it was unclear who the chanter in the video was (or even “whether the speaker was a member of the LGBTQ community”), but then went on to add that the chant has also been used at “drag marches” for years.

Citing “multiple Drag March regulars,” NBC said the “coming for your children” chant isn’t new, noting that last year’s “drag march” saw participants chanting: “Ten percent is not enough: Groom! Groom! Groom!” according to Gothamist.

Moreover, the article said that far worse things are typically chanted at the events.

Brian Griffin, who organized the NYC Drag March, told the outlet he has chanted things like “Kill, kill, kill, we’re coming to kill the mayor,” and made obscene remarks about sexuality and nudity.

“It’s all just words,” Griffin said. “It’s all presented to fulfill their worst stereotypes of us.”

Another drag march organizer, who goes by Hucklefaery Ken, told the outlet in an email that the chant was a “bad joke that is being used to serve the interests of parasitic, predatory political propaganda and policy.”

But conservatives weren’t buying NBC’s defense of the chant.

“Guys it’s totally fine that they chanted ‘we’re coming for your children’ because they do it every year and they also chant about sex toys and pubic hair and killing people,” prominent conservative Twitter account Libs of TikTok reacted, pointing out the irony of the “It’s all just words” defense from those “who force preferred pronouns on us and constantly change our language.”

“The fact that they’ve been saying ‘we’re coming for your children’ for years sort of makes it even worse that these major companies still decided to support this,” reacted Republican communications strategist Matt Whitlock.

Federalist editor-in-chief Mollie Hemingway similarly argued that “‘We’ve been saying this for years’ makes it worse, not better. But, uh, interesting propaganda spin here, NBC,” said.

Blatant admission of plans to indoctrinate children into LGBT ideology are far from isolated to one New York “pride” march.

Social media users pointed to the 2021 San Francisco Gay Men’s choir video in which singers informed parents (with alleged satire) that they would “convert your children.”

The Daily Wire noted that the “controversial chanting came as Pride festivities across the U.S. and Canada this past week featured rampant nudity, including a parade in Seattle where naked men rode bikes in front of children.”

Footage from a “Pride March” in Toronto, Canada, for instance, showed unclothed men and people clad in sexually explicit garb marching and performing in the presence of young children as Toronto police failed to step in, LifeSite reported.

And “pride” events aren’t the only occasions in which radical leftists have engaged in obscenity and nudity to demonstrate their opposition to conservatives.

As LifeSiteNews reported, pro-life families and clergy members attending a June 26 Wisconsin pro-life rally were “visually assaulted” by the lewdness of obscene female counter-protesters.

Pro-Life Wisconsin director Peggy Hamill told LifeSiteNews via email that “dozens of pro-aborts screamed obscenities at the base of the steps throughout the entire prayerful rally and march” as the lewd women stood by in silent but vulgar protest.
