MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota (LifeSiteNews) – A pro-abortion group in Minneapolis has started a fundraiser to send mobile abortion facilities to the Texas border to kill unborn babies that would otherwise be saved by the Texas Heartbeat Act.

In a shocking desire to commit infanticide, Minneapolis-based pro-abortion group “Just the Pill” disseminated a fundraiser via email asking for donations to send two mobile abortion units to the Texas border, in an attempt to subvert the newly implemented abortion restrictions in the state that disallow the killing of a child in the womb after the heartbeat is detectable (around six-weeks after conception).

Just the Pill, founded in 2020 with the goal of proliferating abortion, will use the crowdfunded money to deploy “mobile units” at the Texas border to distribute abortion “pills” to women who are ten weeks or earlier into pregnancy.

The organization claims that the mobile units are necessary because “Anti-abortion extremists in Texas have created a human rights disaster,” with the passing of the life-saving Heartbeat Act

Since the Heartbeat Act prevents abortions from being committed after 6-weeks of pregnancy, and the abortion pills are frequently used until 10 weeks, these units would give women in Texas another month to commit an abortion.

According to their site, the price for an “abortion with pills” is 350 dollars, and the purported efficacy rate at killing the child is 95-98 percent.

In addition to claiming that the pills are “effective and very safe” the organization’s site informs women that the drugs have been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The actual safety of these medications is contested, however, as one of the drugs used, mifepristone, has been linked to the deaths of 24 women in America alone, as well as over 4,000 injuries in women who have taken the drug.

LifeSiteNews reported in April that, despite FDA regulations that required an in-person visit with a medical professional before a woman was prescribed mifepristone, Joe Biden’s administration went ahead and waived the FDA’s safety protocol, allowing the drug to be mailed to women “for the remainder of the COVID-19 pandemic” without ever having to see a doctor.

In a 2009 study in the journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, researchers discovered an approximate 20 percent rate of complication with abortion drugs, leading many pro-life activists to condemn the self-described Catholic president’s actions that threaten both women and their babies.

“Pro-abortion activists have exploited the COVID-19 pandemic from the beginning, working to eliminate safety precautions in order to expand the proliferation of dangerous chemical abortion drugs,” Susan B. Anthony List president Marjorie Dannenfelser said in April. “This decision prioritizes abortion industry profits over the health and safety of women and puts the abortion extremism of the Biden-Harris administration on full display.”

“Sending deadly pills through the mail without any pre-screening or follow up care is convenient and cost effect for Corporate Abortion, but women will pay the price along with countless preborn infants,” Students for Life Action President Kristan Hawkins also said.

Chemical abortion or “abortion with pills” is a massive industry in America. According to the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute, a whopping 39 percent of all abortions are “performed” with these drugs.

With the Guttmacher Institute data showing that roughly 850,000 babies are killed each year in America under the guise of “women’s rights,” these abortion pills, which can now be mailed to women across the country, are responsible for over 330,000 infant deaths per annum.

Considering that 54,000 abortions were conducted in Texas in 2020, before the enactment of the Heartbeat Act, pro-life advocates estimate that over 5,400 babies’ lives have already been spared in the mere six weeks during which the law has been in effect.

Despite heavy opposition to the Texas law, including one successful attempt by the Biden administration to block it, a federal appeals court ruled in favor of protecting the legislation last week, further boosting the morale of pro-life supporters and lawyers alike.

In the recent words of Jonathan Saenz, president and attorney at Texas Values, “Lives are at stake and we will do everything in our power to protect a baby with a beating heart.”
