(LifeSiteNews) – I wanted to give you an update today on my daughter Mary-Catherine and her progress, to thank you for your prayers, and actually share with you some very good news.

The progression of my daughter, as you might have heard, was really quite serious in the past weeks. After we were able to bring her back home, the seizures started to get so bad that my wife just couldn’t take it anymore, and we had to rush her into the emergency room once again.

Things were pretty rough for a while, but I have to tell you that the outpouring of prayers from you and from literally thousands of people around the world made all the difference. There were priests from different parts of the world who celebrated Mass for her, and promises of prayers even from some bishops.

It was especially touching when Mary-Catherine’s school, Our Lady Seat of Wisdom College in Canada, held a day of fasting and prayer for her. Many students and professors joined in. All of this support and prayer, it’s a beautiful thing, and it’s surely been very fruitful.

Mary, after having been rushed to the hospital last week because of the seizures, some four and five in a day, was released from the hospital seven days ago. As of yesterday, six days have passed with no seizures at all. So that is for us a miraculous thing.

I want to also give you an update on her mobility as we are moving on with physiotherapy. On Saturday, Mary-Catherine, for the first time, went to Mass, and we didn’t realize it too much, but when you’re sitting in a chair or in a pew, you’re actually using your legs quite a bit to balance and so on.

She was pretty exhausted after that and unable to walk back to the car. The next day we were a little bit more cautious, so she remained in the car for Mass, listening on the radio, but was able to come in for Holy Communion, as well as sit down and talk to some friends.

Mary-Catherine is totally overjoyed to be back in the community as it were, and back with her friends, and wanted to personally express her thanks for all your prayers and support.

Let’s keep one another in prayer. Miracles do happen, and in the midst of this world, which is always going to be full of suffering and different challenges that we have to face, we can be there for one another. We can extend not only, you know, our smiles and our prayers for one another, but there have been a lot of amazing people who have made meals for the family and done things to reach out and help out.

We’ve got to keep that up not only when we’re in the midst of absolute insanity, but it’s so good because you really know who your friends are when you’re down. On behalf of my entire family, thank you for the support that you, our LifeSite family, has given us.
